In Lacrimosa, players take on the roles of patrons of the late Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Across two timelines – past and present – they fund compositions, journeys, and performances of the composer. In the present, players help complete the Requiem, while in the past they support Mozart’s career. Cards can be used flexibly as actions or resource generators and are improved over the course of the game. The goal is to manage resources and finances efficiently to become Mozart’s most influential patron.
