Vintage 50s Sewing Pattern ORIGINAL: Dress & Stole Shawl Scarf McCalls 9241

ca. 1952. Bodice of dress has a halter top with a plunging surplice front with buttoning, and shaped, dipped back view. Dart fitted to accentuate the waist, the bodice joins to a full circular flared skirt that has a finished hem sweep of just over 3.5 yards. The stole may be in three styles; single layer with fringe, single layer without fringe, or cocoon style with armholes for a cozy wrap shrug style.

©1951; Misses' One-Piece Dress and Bolero: The dress is styled with a low wedge shaped neckline. Shaped cuffs finish extended armhole edge. The skirt has four gores at front, two in back. Pockets are attached to side yoke. The bolero buttons down front and has kimono sleeves. View 1 has three-quarter sleeves with a button closing at lower edge. View 2 features short cuffed sleeves.

Condition: pattern uncut, and in original folds but the envelope has tears and creasing at the edges and corners - as seen in pics. This does not get in the way from reading any of the details front or back. Fold out instruction booklet in good condition with no tears/stains, though the paper feels brittle.
