Note: As this is an antique item, there may be scratches, cracks, or chips present.
Era: 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE
Originating from the Indus Civilization, these carnelian beads feature patterns created using a natron solution derived from plants. The beads were then fired at low temperatures of approximately 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. While they have been excavated from sites in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that they were crafted in the Indus Valley and transported overland and by sea.
