With Lucent Visor's extra curves and a deep brim, the shaping turns this sports hat in to a piece of sculpted millinery. Perfect for outdoor cocktails or a morning run.

Suggested Fabric:

Perfect for scrap busting. The structure of the Lucent Visor is built with interfacing and millinery wire. Suggested fabric are easy to sew cottons and linens. You can experiment with a textured brim and keep the binding to an easy to sew poplin.

Sizing:

Pattern includes three brim sizes from small to large so you can choose how bold to go! The hat band is elasticised and custom sized in construction, fitting most, from kids up to a 62 cm crown.

You will also need:

• Matching thread.
• Optional topstitching thread.
• Elastic 3.8 cm x 64 cm (1 1/5" x 25 3/16")
• Heavyweight needles.
• Fusible Cotton Buckram (single sided) 130cm x 110cm (11 7/8" x 43 1/3")
  Synthetic heavy weight interfacing can be used instead the sort of interfacing used for bag making.
• Plastic millinery wire - this is like a very thick fishing line.
  1mm - 1.5mm x 120 cm (1/32" - 1/16" x 47 1/2")
• Wire Ferrules - 0.5mm larger than the wire.
  These are small metal tubes that are crimped on the end of the wire to fix it together. You could use a small amount of gaffer tape can be used instead.
