Design
Alaskans love fireweed, "nature's summer clock." The flowers first blossom on the lower part of the stalk and move upward as summer progresses. It's said that when the last flowers bloom, we've got six weeks of summer. I photographed the fireweed in this design on July 27th in Sitka.
