Product Description: This is a strand of Etched Carnelian Beads.
Dating back to 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE, these beads are a product of the Indus Valley Civilization. The patterns on the carnelian beads were created using a natron solution derived from plants, which was then baked at a low temperature of around 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. Although these beads have been excavated from sites in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that they were originally made in the Indus Valley and transported via land and sea routes.
