Antique 1910’s Exquisite Coat in black sheer lace.

Wow, such a fabulous early piece, in extremely good condition. Heavily embroidered summer coat, a beautiful lace.  Amazing detailing. Gorgeous label, Costumiers - Helliwell & Sons, Halifax, UK. 
full length sleeves lead to deep cuffs - these cuffs are lined, as is the nape and a band down the centre edging which holds the fastenings- All of which are original. Side hem slits. Can be worn open or fastened.

Certainly a desirable piece and I’m sure with more research may even have connections to an icon or movie connection.

Could easily be worn over any dress, a spectacular evening gown. Maybe wear over a plain bright coloured dress, to show off the exquisite detailing for a modern twist.
