Course Description: Advanced Fairy Wings Level Two Class provides all the information and hands-on experience to make your own delicate faerie (fairy) wings, perfect for Midsummer Night’s Dream or Sleeping Beauty. You will receive patterns in 3 sizes from which you may choose to make a set of two wings in any of the 3 sizes provided, or a 3-dimensional-style set with four wings - two smaller and two larger.

Work with our pre-made jig and millinery wire to shape these beautiful wings. You will be making several separate wings using a sparkle or glimmer tulle, and learning how to securely put them together. You will also decorate them with glitter glue, sequins, etc. Instructions will include information on how to make your own jig at home using wood and finishing nails.

For this class, you will need thread to match your fabric color choice as well as extra sewing machine needles (you may break a few!), some painter’s tape or masking tape, and a pair of safety glasses. You cannot take the class without safety glasses as you will be zigzagging over millinery wire. Inexpensive safety glasses can be purchased at Home Dept or Lowe’s. If you wear glasses already then you won’t need other safety glasses.

Prerequisites: Level One Wings Class, or you can demonstrate proficiency by emailing detailed pictures of your work and a note detailing your experience.
