The Hamsa, also known as the “five fingers” or the Hand of Fatima, is a symbol with universal significance found across cultures worldwide. In Buddhism and Hinduism, the Hamsa Hand is revered as the Hand of God, while in Judaism and Islam, it is known as the Hand of Miriam and the Hand of Fatima, respectively. The eye at the center of the Hamsa palm serves as a reminder to remain vigilant against evil forces.

When the Hamsa Hand is depicted with its fingertips facing downwards, it assumes the Varada Mudra, symbolizing goodness, fulfillment of prayers and wishes, and fertility. Conversely, when the fingertips point upwards (Abhaya Mudra), it signifies protection against evil and jealousy.
