The Type R Headlight is a difficult light to tint not only for beginners but experienced tint installers as well. In order to help solve this problem we have developed this pre-cut tint overlay that avoids the parts that make the light difficult to tint while still giving you an aggressive look. This overlay keeps your DRL lights uncovered and makes the overlay install far easier overall. Follow our install guide in the description for the best end result. INSTALL GUIDE

TOOLS REQUIRED: PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, HEAT GUN or Warm Sunny Day to Post Heat the product

WET INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your ride is very easy and only requires minimal tools. First you need: lubrication spray solution. You can make a lubrication spray solution at home by using a spray bottle filled with water and mixing it with 1 drop of dish soap or buy our PRE-MIX SOLUTION SOLD HERE, You'll also need an application squeegee. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed as low as 50 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F).

FULL INSTALL: After the surface is clean and you have read WET INSTALL BASICS, Mist the adhesive side of the overlay with the water solution, as well as the surface that it will be applied to. Start by aligning the overlay to the inner edge of the headlight, the edge of the headlight that faces the front emblem. Once aligned, start laying the material down onto the light itself, while paying attention to the curve of the lower DRL and aligning the overlay accordingly. Once placed, use a pro-felt squeegee with firm pressure starting in the center of the overlay and push any and all air and moisture from underneath the tint outwards to the outer edges. Continue this process until all air and moister is removed. Use a heat gun to post heat the product and the install is complete.
