A limited hand-engraved and hand-colored sequence of original copper engravings of the Life of St. Antoninus of Florence, O.P. ( 1389-1459, AD), by G. Scotto, Tuscany first half of the 1800s. Made from the original paintings of scenes the Life of St. Antoninus found in the Cloister and Museum of San Marco, Firenze, by Bernardino Poccelli (Florence, 1548-1612, AD), Matteo Rosselli (Florence,1578-1650 AD), and Giovanni Battista Vanni (1599-1660 AD).
Salvaged antique works. Attributions marked respectively at bottom left and right. May be treated with paper conservation techniques. Paper measures approximately 12x9 inches (31x24 cm). These are individually offered. Light foxing and acid marks on back is consonant with age. Refer to images. Otherwise in excellent antique condition. May be framed with custom semi-lune matting, or in traditional rectangular border.
