The ABS sensor for the front wheel is highly exposed and unprotected, mounted on the front side of the left fork tube, just above the front wheel axle clamp. It is a sensitive component that, together with the ABS ring and the ABS control unit, prevents the front wheel brake from locking up and the rider from losing control of the motorcycle. Therefore, it is an important safety component that must always function and needs to be protected against mechanical damage from stones, debris, or other foreign objects.
