In South India these silk sarees are considered auspicious and are worn at celebrations. A friend of ours gave us some of her Kanchivaram sarees that she is not wearing anymore. The material was so gorgeous and the weave so brilliant that we decided to come up with a whole line of clothing made with these sarees!
This black and white checks kurta was the first piece we made. Notice the temple border at the center. This temple weave is very popular in South India. This kurta is size medium (US Size 6-8).
