This old Oromo stool from Ethiopia was originally made for daily use and could easily be carried from place to place.
Hand-carved from a single piece of wood, it combines a gently curved seat with a compact form. The surface shows traces of age, use, and handwork, with an aged patina that has developed over time. Each stool is one of a kind.
Today, it can be used as a small side table or as a freestanding object. It also works well when grouped with other stools.
