Fresh - Saline - Citrus - Floral

Andres Carull comes from a decades-long family winemaking tradition, but was inspired by a trip to Bordeaux in 2008, where he discovered natural wine. This spark became a passion to produce authentic, stripped-back wines that express a true sense of place, heritage and people. 

Salicornio Moscatel is a light orange wine, fresh. salty and vibrant. On the nose you'll find citrus, floral and herbal aromas; on the palate it is fragrant and fresh. It reveals a well integrated acidity and a very pleasant saline finish. Organically grown Moscatel grapes are macerated gently on the skins for 5 days in concrete vats from local yeasts from La Mata Natural Park in Alicante, where his vineyards sit, just a stone's throw from the Mediterranean. This location also gives the grapes unique saline characteristics. Half way through fermentation, the wine is pressed, after which it ages on the lees for five months in concrete vats under a cap of flor.
