These organic disc brake pads are compatible with the new Avid Code 2011. They offer high braking power and are ideal for use in dry conditions. These pads are suitable for MTB, trekking, and road bikes. Sintered pads are also available, which are ideal for use in wet conditions and suitable for MTB. For e-bikes, there is the metallic carbon (semi-metallic) version, which is ideal for both wet and dry conditions. It is important to bed in the brake pads after installation; this extends their lifespan. To bed in the pads, gently pull the brake lever while riding and ensure the pads contact the brake rotor. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour, braking slightly harder at the end to reduce your speed to around 5 kilometers per hour. Then slowly increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times to ensure the new brake pads are properly bedded in.
