VW to Chevy Adapter Plate

This Pro-werks aluminum motor plate adapts Chevy Powerglide, Turbo 350, 400 transmissions, or a Chevy bolt pattern clutch type bell housing, to a VW 4 cylinder air-cooled engine.

Not for the faint of heart; this is a fairly complex adaption to complete.

It requires additional experienced machinist skills to be provided by the installer for adapting the flex-plate or flywheel to the crankshaft, and configuring a suitable starter arrangement.

Due to myriad of combinations possible, we do not offer any of those solutions or any additional details for making this adaption complete, just the motor plate listed here.

This unique Adapter / Motor plate includes the transmission locator dowel pins to ensure accurate alignment. Measures 1/4" thick, 24" wide by 24" tall - plenty of material for finish mounting in most applications.

Accurately CNC Machined is Best

All of the Pro-werks Motor Plates are precision CNC machined from premium 6061-T6 aluminum to exact tolerances for optimum fit and finish. The accuracy obtained from CNC machining is superior to die stamping, laser or water jet cutting methods that have grown to be popular by other manufacturers.

Proper engine alignment can only be achieved with accurate locating of the engine to the drive train. This is an area that should not be compromised.
