A pair of 19th century black leather military riding boots.
They are European, possibly French.

There is gilt braid around the top of the boots, this is unstitched in places.

There is a bullion flower on the front of each boot
They were used, the surface of the leather is crackled around the ankles where they flexed.
They have leather soles and heels.

There is a gilt spur in the shape of a bird (?eagle ?phoenix) attached to each heel

Maximum height of boot 15½" (39.5cm)
External foot length 11½" (29.5cm)
