Parasound Halo Series JC 2 BP Preamplifier with Home Theater Bypass | Silver

The Parasound Halo JC 2 BP is a two-channel line-stage preamplifier with a home theater bypass mode, offered here in silver. Designed primarily as the control center in a dedicated two-channel or hybrid stereo-surround system, it accepts both balanced and unbalanced analog sources and provides a buffered home theater bypass path so a separate AV processor can take control of the volume stage when needed. The chassis occupies 4U of rack space and weighs 24 lbs net.

Frequency response extends from 5 Hz to 100 kHz within 3 dB. Signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 116 dB IHF A-weighted with the input shorted. Channel crosstalk is greater than 100 dB at 10 kHz. Input impedance is 30 kilohms for both balanced and unbalanced connections, and the sensitivity requires just 200 mV for a 1V output, with a total gain of 14 dB and a maximum output of 8V.
