French walnut credenza or hall cupboard in the Neo-Gothic style. This highly decorative etagere dates to the turn of the 20th century and is signed and labelled A. Bastet, Lyon.
The upper part of this highly decorative pentagonal piece forms a shelf with carved windows and a pinnacled canopy.
Below is a cupboard with two shelves. The door is adorned with a window motif carving and decorative ironwork backed with leather. There is a lock but no working key.
The lower shelf is decorated with openwork fenestrations. Twisted column uprights are surmounted by religious personages.
Signed to the back, door, and base.
