Apple announced a new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro in October 2021, equipped with the new Apple silicon chips; M1 Pro and M1 Max. This release reintroduced real function keys in place of the Touch Bar, a HDMI port, a SDXC reader and MagSafe charging. Other additions include a Liquid Retina XDR display with thinner bezels and an iPhone-like notch.
