An elegant pair of French Art Deco champagne buckets produced for the celebrated Champagne house Pol Roger, dating to circa 1930. Crafted in silver-plated metal with a gently tapering form, each bucket is boldly embossed with the POL ROGER name within a framed band, flanked by finely cast grapevine ring handles. The design is completed with restrained horizontal line detailing characteristic of the inter-war period.
Originally intended for use in fine hotels and restaurants, these pieces embody the sophisticated barware of the great champagne houses of Épernay. The sculptural grape leaf mounts and crisp lettering give the pair a strong decorative presence, making them equally suited to entertaining or display in a bar or drinks cabinet. They are also a fabulous way to display flowers or indoor plants.
Retaining a beautiful aged patina and wear consistent with their age, the pair remain in good vintage condition, considering their many years of use .
