This is a 1908 revenue stamp from Mexico, issued with a face value of 10 Pesos. Printed in bold red ink, the design prominently features the denomination within circular frames and the inscription “CONTROL DEL TALON – AÑO 1908”. It was used for the control of stubs (talones), specifically related to patents, direct contributions, and guides (Patentes, Cont. Directa y Guías). At the top, a large serial number “01102” is overprinted in black, indicating official fiscal control. The lower portion notes that the document copy remains with the tax office (que queda en la oficina recaudadora). These fiscal issues are of particular interest to collectors of Mexican revenues, reflecting the taxation practices of the early 20th century.
