This pocketed snuggle cloak is so luxe, that we can barely stand it. A beautiful print, with an intricate colourful design, this cloak features artwork inspired by traditional Chinese design from Albert Charles Auguste Racinet which is held at the New York Public Library.
Albert-Charles-Auguste Racinet (1825–1893), himself an accomplished artist, is best known today for publishing two major pictorial works on the history of design — Le costume historique and L'Ornement polychrome — while engraver and artistic director at the Parisian publisher Firmin Didot et Cie. Although based on past masterpieces of design, the fantastic reproductions in L'Ornement polychrome, carried out by a number of skilled commercial artists of the day, can be considered works of art in their own right. We have included this artwork on our first release in our Museum Collection, which features our classic clothing with artwork from galleries and museums from around the world.
This luxurious cloak is made from an ultra-soft premium microfiber fleece lining. The outside is made with a micro-mink polyester fabric that allows the print to be the high definition with vibrant colours. Featuring two deep side pockets to keep your belongings safe and your hands warm.
