It's important to bed in the brake pads after installation to extend their lifespan. This can be done by gently pulling the brake lever while riding, ensuring the pads contact the brake rotor. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (15.5 mph), then brake more firmly at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour (3 mph). Then, gradually increase your speed while braking lightly. This process can be repeated 10 to 12 times to ensure the new brake pads are properly bedded in.
