Blue Devil Tetra

Blue Devil Tetra (Hyphessobrycon sp.) is a vivid unconfirmed Hyphessobrycon species with deep blue to electric blue body iridescence — the 'devil' in the name refers to the intensity of the blue coloration rather than aggression. A striking collector fish that remains unconfirmed at species level.

Feeding & Care Tip: Sera Vipan Tropical Flakes and Hikari Micro Pellets make excellent daily staples. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, or Hikari Vibra Bites. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.

Origin from South American blackwater streams — exact species and locality unconfirmed. Soft, slightly acidic water conditions preferred.

Keep in groups of at least 8. The blue iridescence is most vivid in subdued lighting with a dark background. Compatible with other small, peaceful community species.
