Dark, but make it sassy.  Deep, dark gray and red, packed full of teeny-tiny sparkles.  This eye-catching stone is made up of aggregate pockets of tiny specular ("mirror-like") hematite flakes or tabular crystals, as well as possible minor traces of Mica.  Flat, satin-finish back with a beveled edge for ease of setting. 

Please note: This is a very porous stone! Take care to protect the stone's surface during setting & final polishing to avoid damage to/filling in of air pockets across the surface.  Ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended, as this may cause rust and/or disintegration.
