The ultimate apparel fabric, merino wool accomplishes everything synthetics have been trying to imitate for generations. 

Made with a loose fit made for layering over top of our base layers and sleepers, to keep warm for fall playtime outside, stroller walks, and hikes in the carrier. Cuffed ankles and wrists allow you to roll them up or down for a custom fit.  As always our garments are made in Canada. 

What's the material like? 

Heavy knit with a soft fleecy interior from an 80% Merino wool and 20% cotton blend.  

Not super-wash treated. This material may felt if exposed to agitation and extreme heat.

Why choose merino wool?

Merino wool is arguably the best material you can choose as a winter base layer. Wool’s natural properties provide excellent thermal regulation-something small children can struggle with. Merino wool is light, soft, doesn’t itch, and effectively eliminates moisture. It can be worn multiple times between washes and the nature of merino wool's fibres allow it to be machine washed without felting and shrinking. Never too cool, or too hot in merino, your child's body can do its job and self-regulate temperate.

What is the cut and fit like? 

The Little Sprout layering joggers are designed to be loose and worn over base layers and under a waterproof outer garment. The fabric is not stretchy and and has a more structured profile.
