This is an Islamic artwork. It features an Arabic term Huwa, or pronounced HU, which means: He. It is a calling term referred to Allah, which means God in Sufism, or Islamic Mysticism.

HU refers to the “oneness within the essence of existence,” and therefore does not imply a separate third being, yet encompasses infinite meanings. (Ahmed Hulusi)

Muthanna here refers to duality, by which in this calligraphy composition features a reflection or mirror. Here implies Huwa or He, is a reflection or mirror of every essence of existence. In simple abstract means, every thing that exist or happen is a reflection to the cause or will of He (God’s Will).

Calligraphed in Arabic Thuluth script, it is illustrated with rustic blotchy tones of ash- bone, and dark earth muddy wash.
