A beautiful Garnacha, Cadalso comes from the village of Cadalso de los Vidrios, where ancient (up to 90-year-old) grapevines grow in tough blue granite soils and endure hot days and chilly nights. All that pressure forms diamonds, with this deliciously fragrant yet quietly powerful red wine a silken dream of bright red fruit cut with darker mysterious complexity, the vitality only enhanced by ageing in concrete vat (rather than oak). Refreshing yet intense, this is red wine with a rare minerality and presence.
