Karl Gaspar is a prominent figure from Mindanao, being a former grassroots educator, development worker, church worker and political detainee. After his release from prison, he became a Redemptorist missionary and continues to work for the transformation and development of peoples' communities and programs. Karl embarked and worked on this intensive-detailed research study for almost two years, armed with zeal and passion in his resolve to search for the Transformative Filipino Indigenous Spirituality. He aimed to gather and analyze primary and secondary sources of date in his attempt to articulate the indigenous Filipino Spirituality which is transforming and transformative.
