With LED lighting, 95% of the energy is converted into light. This means that only a small part is converted into heat, which significantly reduces energy consumption. An LED lamp can therefore produce as much light as an incandescent or halogen lamp with only a fraction of the power. In addition, LED lighting does not get hot, which means the risk of burnout is much smaller than with an incandescent lamp. LEDs are also more resistant to shocks and vibrations.
