This wooden Ganesh Om wall hanging has a turquoise and coral stone setting with brass inlay.
Om is the most sacred syllable symbol in many cultures and in Hinduism it is part of the mantra of Brahman. For Hindus, Brahman is the Ultimate Reality, the supreme God. The term also refers to the ‘divine consciousness.’ Brahman can be shown in many forms including deities - presentations of the divine. The Om syllable is often chanted either independently or before a mantra; it signifies the essence of the ultimate reality, consciousness or Atma. The syllable is often found at the beginning and the end of chapters in the Vedas, the Upanishads, and other Hindu texts.
