Fig Brown Turkey will often bear two crops in a year.. This variety produces purple-brown fruit with sweet pink flesh in summer. They are best grown in well drained soils with full sun exposure. Mature trees tolerate cold and frost, however protection is needed for new plantings until fully established. Fig Brown Turkey is hardy, and requires minimal maintenance. It is one of the toughest fig varieties. While they prefer a warm, dry climate, Figs appreciate plenty of water while the fruit is developing. Fig Brown Turkey can grow to a height of 6 metres with a width of 5 metres.
