The Sadaf is the showpiece in Khalil Mamoon's base range, and one of the more striking pieces in our Melbourne store cabinet. Hand-worked enamel with shell inlay over 30 cm of hand-blown Egyptian glass — Sadaf means "shell" in Arabic, and the inlay is exactly that: tiny pieces of shell hand-set into the enamel finish. It transforms any KM stem into a centrepiece.

Fit & Compatibility

Fits all medium and large Khalil Mamoon stems using the standard Egyptian push-fit. Not for plug-style (Russian) stems or Mini Beast (23 cm / 40 mm) fittings. If you want to see one in person before committing, drop into our Melbourne store — these are worth handling before you buy.

Looking After It

• Handle with care — the shell inlay is hand-applied and shouldn't be scrubbed or soaked in harsh cleaners.
• Rinse the interior with warm water and a soft brush after each session.
• Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth only — don't submerge the decorated surface.
• Dry the neck thoroughly before storing.

Is the shell inlay fragile?

The inlay is securely set into the enamel, but it's still a decorative artisan finish — treat it the way you would any hand-worked piece. Avoid impacts and harsh scrubbing on the decorated exterior.
