Behringer CHAOS Analog Random Sampler Module for Eurorack

The Behringer CHAOS is an analog random sampler module designed for Eurorack modular synthesizer systems. It provides generative control voltages and rhythm sources that enable musicians and sound designers to create evolving sequences, unpredictable rhythms, and experimental modulation patterns. This module is suited for modular synthesis environments where creative randomness and dynamic variation are desired.

The CHAOS module incorporates sound engine concepts inspired by Mutable Instruments Marbles, generating controlled random clock signals and control voltages. The internal t generator produces a warped clock that simulates the subtle timing variations of a musician attempting to follow a metronome, introducing organic rhythmic instability into modular patches.

The X generator provides three independent random control voltage sources that are synchronized with the t generator. A memory function stores and recalls previous clock deviations, voltage changes, and rhythm patterns, allowing repeating variations and evolving sequences. With dual outputs for main and dynamic signal variants, the module integrates easily into modular patches for expanded generative performance.
