Compounds are made from different materials. Each compound has its advantages and disadvantages. Elvedes offers a choice of three different compounds, each offering high braking power for any bike and any weather conditions.

Organic

Lifespan

After installing the new brake pads, it is very important that the pads are bedded in; this extends their lifespan.

Braking in

How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads: Bedding in new disc brake pads significantly extends their lifespan! Keep the brake lever slightly pulled while riding, ensuring the pads are in contact with the brake rotor. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (15 mph), then brake harder at the end to reduce your speed to about 5 kilometers per hour (3 mph). Then slowly increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
