3M Construction Seaming Tape 8087 is designed to seal seams on housewrap and insulated sheathing products. It can also be used to seam polyethylene vapor barrier products as well as to repair holes and tears in these building materials. Taping seams aids in reducing air infiltration, improving the effectiveness of insulation and reducing heating and cooling costs.

The superior cold temperature adhesion to house wrap and polyethylene is suitable for low temperature applications up to 14°F (-10°C). The UV resistant film helps protect against degradation by sunlight, extending the lifespan on any application. When applied at cold temperatures, the adhesion will improve as ambient temperatures increase, as well as with exposure to sunlight.

The low moisture vapour transmission rate does not compromise the performance of vapour barriers, making this membrane sealing tape suitable for insulated sheathing products where vapour is undesirable.
