Card games can be so simple. You take the card or you discard a chip, anyone can do that! But there is more to this.

Cards mean penalty points. Nobody wants that, not even for free! So you buy it off by paying a token. But you have very little of that, very little!

Each card in front of you is worth as many penalty points as its value, but if you collect a series of consecutive cards, this entire series is worth as many penalty points as the value of the lowest card. This provides additional tactical options in certain situations!
