Flanged Wheel 200 × 53 mm – Polyamide 6G, narrow design

The 200 × 53 mm flanged wheel, made of cast polyamide 6G (PA6G), combines a large running diameter of 200 mm with a deliberately slender wheel width of 53 mm. This combination is ideal for designs where axial installation space is limited or where narrow-profile rails are used – without compromising smooth running, load capacity, or tracking accuracy. Typical applications include flanged wheels in conveyor technology and mechanical engineering, where precise guidance and low weight are equally important.

Construction & Material

The wheel body is precisely turned from cast polyamide 6 (PA6G) – an engineering plastic characterized by toughness, high compressive strength, and very good sliding properties. Compared to steel wheels of the same size, PA6G offers significantly lower intrinsic weight with comparable load capacity, electrical non-conductivity, and corrosion resistance. The tread surface is designed with a 3° conical rise to the wheel axis. This precisely turned angle ensures even load distribution across the rail width, self-centering guidance, and minimized edge wear on both wheel and rail.

Bearing Options

The 200 × 53 mm flanged wheel is available in two versions:

• With 2 2RS Ball Bearings: Two double-sealed deep groove ball bearings are firmly embedded in the wheel body. The wheel runs freely on an axle or bolt – low-maintenance, ready for direct installation, for trailing (non-driven) wheels.
• With Hub Keyway: Torque-resistant mounting on a profiled shaft for torque transmission. Used for driven wheels or when the bearings are provided on-site.

Difference to the Flanged Wheel 200 × 80 mm

Both wheels share diameter, material, and tread geometry. The crucial difference lies in the wheel width: The 200 × 53 mm wheel is designed for narrow rails and tight installation spaces, while the 200 × 80 mm wheel offers higher load capacities and more stable running on wider rail profiles due to its wider tread.
