This is a great example of the hostess dress from the 1960s and the way small designers where taking fabric and using it for maximum effect. The fabric is a swirl of psychedelic pattern in pinks and purples and grounded by deep blues. Parts of the edges of the pattern are highlighted with different colored beads and also rows of pink sequins. It is very subtle but give the dress a touch of glimmer. The main part of the dress is cut with a loose fitting waist with a long skirt that falls to the floor with just the slightest of A-line as it nears the hem. The front plunges and the fabric is gathered and sewn into place by hand. The back is quite amazing with fabric that swoops down cape-like over the shoulders so when you move you get lots of movement and drama! Excellent condition
