Application:

In order to diagnose a condition, the Wartenberg pinwheel is slowly rolled over the affected skin areas and the patient is to describe the sensation. Therefore, the pressure and pain stimuli can be graded in terms of severity. The pins on the Wartenberg pinwheel are sharp enough to stimulate specific points without penetrating the skin.For hygienic reasons, we recommend disinfecting the pins and the wheel after each use with a patient.
