High Quality Tactical Rifle Scope

This Scope is made with German-engineered glass and assembled in Greeley, Colorado USA. First focal plane competition reticle in a 34mm tube, 5x to 30x with a 56mm objective that pulls light at dawn and dusk. Never-Lost locking turrets with second rotation indicator so your zero doesn't walk and you always know where you are in your travel. Throw lever changes magnification in gloves. Locking diopter ring. Submersible to 33 feet. Tenebraex covers and sunshade included.

Key Features

  • First Focal PlaneThe reticle (the crosshair pattern you see through the scope) grows and shrinks as you change magnification. This means your holdover marks for bullet drop and wind are accurate at every zoom level. On a "second focal plane" scope, those marks are only accurate at one specific magnification. First focal plane is the standard for tactical and competition scopes.
  • Competition Reticle (SCR2)The specific crosshair pattern inside the scope. This one was designed for precision rifle competitions (PRS). It has marks for estimating distance, bullet drop, and wind — laid out for speed under match pressure.
  • 34mm TubeThe main body of the scope is 34mm in diameter, bigger than the standard 30mm. The larger tube allows more internal room for the adjustment mechanisms, which gives you more elevation and windage travel (how far you can dial your turrets).

  • 56mm ObjectiveThe front lens is 56mm wide. Bigger front lens means more light entering the scope, which means a brighter, clearer image — especially at dawn and dusk when light is low.
  • Never-Lost Locking TurretsThe turrets are the knobs on top and side of the scope that you turn to adjust where your bullet hits (elevation and windage). "Locking" means you can lock them in position so they don't accidentally get bumped and ruin your zero. "Never-Lost" is Steiner's brand name for this feature.

  • Second Rotation IndicatorThe turrets can only adjust so many MILs per full rotation. When you turn past one full revolution, you're on your "second rotation." The indicator shows you which revolution you're on so you don't lose track of how much adjustment you've dialed.
  • Resettable ZeroZero is the calibration between where your crosshair is pointing and where the bullet actually hits. When your scope is "zeroed," the bullet goes where the crosshair says it will at a given distance. The resettable zero stop lets you set that reference point so you can always dial back to it.
  • Throw LeverA small lever that attaches to the magnification ring (the ring you twist to zoom in and out). Instead of gripping and twisting the ring by hand, you flick the lever. Much faster, and you can do it with gloves on. Included in the box.

  • Locking Diopter RingThe diopter adjusts how sharp the reticle looks to your specific eye. Once you focus it, the locking ring prevents it from turning and losing that focus over time.
  • Tenebraex CoversHigh-end flip-up lens caps made by Tenebraex. Much better quality than the cheap rubber caps most scopes ship with. These usually cost $30-50 if bought separately. Included in the box along with a sunshade.

Who Uses This Scope

  • PRS / Competitive Shooters — The SCR2 reticle was designed for precision rifle series. Locking turrets and throw lever built for stage speed.
  • Military / LE Precision Teams — First focal plane MIL reticle for holdovers at any magnification. Locking turrets for zero integrity during movement.
  • Long-Range Hunters — 56mm objective gathers light at dawn and dusk. 5x handles timber, 30x reaches across open country.
  • Precision Rifle Builders — The glass you put on a custom action when the rifle deserves an optic that matches its accuracy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the SCR2 reticle? A: The SCR2 (Special Competition Reticle) is a MIL-based first focal plane reticle designed for PRS-style competition. Clean layout optimized for speed at known and unknown distances. If you want the tactical/sniper reticle instead, that's the MSR2 variant (#5124).

Q: What rings do I need? A: 34mm rings or a one-piece mount. Popular choices include Spuhr ISMS, Badger Ordnance, and American Defense Recon. Match ring height to your stock and cheek weld.

Q: How do the locking turrets work? A: Push down and rotate to adjust. Release and the turret locks in place — no accidental bumps killing your zero during movement or stage transitions. The resettable zero feature lets you set your zero stop after initial zeroing.

Q: Is it night vision compatible? A: Yes. Four of the eleven illumination settings are NV-compatible for use with night vision devices.
