DESIGNER'S NOTE

The Josephine Peacoat is a piece that’s quietly evolved over time – classic in feel, but with modern proportions. It strikes that balance between polished and laid-back, working just as well in the city as it does in more relaxed settings.

The wool version is built for colder weather, with a raglan sleeve that allows for easy layering. Its slightly boxy, swing-back silhouette gives it a relaxed structure, and the heavy marine-weight Japanese wool holds its shape beautifully. In cotton gabardine, it becomes a go-to for spring through autumn – an easy, high-rotation piece.

It can have a very pared-back, minimalist vibe. I love the long jet pockets – my machinist thought they were a mistake, but they absolutely work.
