Mauro Dallai, a violinist and composer from Parma, whose career is little known except that he served in the cathedral of Santa Maria della Steccata from 1712 to 1726 and from 1730 to 1739, but he is said to have gained considerable wealth and fame as the favorite of Elisabetta Farnese, who became Queen of Spain.
