Indispensable in the PiRO is, of course, a pizza stone. Our 18 mm thick pizza stone is specially custom-made for the PiRO. Its special shape creates the ideal airflow where the heat flows from the back of the kamado over the pizza and out through the window. To do this, do keep your top vent (air control on top of the kamado) closed so the heat does not escape the top.

The pizza stone is 18 mm thick. A pizza stone requires almost no maintenance, just wipe with a dry cloth after use and scrape off the caked-on ingredients. Absolutely do not wash the stone with water, the water will soak into the stone, causing it to break during subsequent use!
