A collection of chamber works for the left hand written for Wittgenstein! The Left Hand Legacy is a groundbreaking project that brings together some of the best players in the Netherlands! Including two world premiere recordings, a collection of chamber works written for Paul Wittgenstein! Paul Wittgenstein (1887-1961), who lost his right arm in World War I, is famous as a pianist who commissioned many composers, including Ravel's "Piano Concerto for the Left Hand", to write works that could be performed solely with the left hand. In this project, entitled "Left Hand Legacy," leading Dutch pianists will collaborate to shed light on a secret piece that has rarely been performed since its premiere by Wittgenstein in the 1920s and 1930s. It also aims to tell the story of Wittgenstein's anguish, struggle, and triumph in art. Vol. 1 includes works by four composers who wrote in the Late Romantic style. The first volume includes the following four works by four composers who used the Late Romantic language. Ernest Walker's Variations and Joseph LaBois's Sonata are world premiere recordings. Tokyo M-Plus
