The Ellis Cropped Trench is the short version of our popular longline Ellis.  It is double-breasted with a tailored shoulder line, relaxed silhouette, and extra-large collar. It features full sleeves, deep welt front pockets, and cow horn buttons. Made in a wide range of fabrics from classic neutral wools & gaberdines, to subtle herringbones.

At Reine, every garment is tailored to fit you perfectly at no extra cost. Whether you’re based in Auckland or elsewhere, we offer in-person fittings at our Auckland atelier or virtual consultations. For virtual fittings, we can usually send a sample garment for you to try on. We source suitable fabrics in colours you prefer, with each piece made to your exact proportions for exceptional style and comfortable fit.

We’ve had so many requests for a cropped version of our Ellis Trench, we thought it was time to make it official.

A play on the classic trench, Ellis is a true modern staple – tailored through the shoulder and chest, then falling cleanly from the bust for that sharp, structured silhouette. That balance is everything, and it’s exactly why we make it to your proportions.

I wear mine constantly – We’ve made it in classic neutrals, bold checks, and textured wools… and wherever I go, someone always asks where it’s from.
