Nick Valensi, guitarist of The Strokes, a band that sparked the "rock and roll revival" movement in the 2000s and has had a profound influence on many bands since, has finally formed his own side project, CRX. The Strokes' sound has been defined by the band's unique sound, and the band's new album, "New Skin," will be released on October 28, 2016 (November 2 in Japan) on the Columbia label. Nick's guitar sound, one of the defining factors of The Strokes' sound, is again brilliant here. He also sings vocals. At their debut show, which was welcomed by enthusiastic fans, the U.S. media praised the band's "strong, melodic garage rock" sound, and CRX's fast-paced sound is sure to be a hit with not only fans of The Strokes, but all rock fans as well. The album was produced by Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Zem Crooked Vultures).
