This major project, the first of its kind for a Japanese composer and one of the few of its kind in Europe, focuses on the composer's development and changes in style, following the life of Monteverdi. The life work of the composer, known exclusively for his operas and other large-scale works, which took half a century to complete, is now echoed in this volume! Monteverdi was a composer who dominated the world with operas such as "Orfeo" and "The Crowning of Poppea" and opened the door to the Baroque era. From the first volume of his Madrigale published in 1587 to the ninth volume in 1651, he spent more than half a century in the pursuit of new compositional techniques and styles.
